Please phone us for our information package and to request a school visit. Parents of infants and toddlers are encouraged to research Montessori now, so that when their children are ready for preschool -- at about 3 years of age -- there will be a place for them.

Quality Education
The school's head teachers all have college degrees and AMI certification, and several have master's degrees. Montessori School of Duluth also invests in continuing education for its teachers, as a part of its commitment to quality education for its students.
Exceptional Location
The school, located in the lovely Hunter's Park residential neighborhood, is convenient to downtown and the colleges. Children from every neighborhood in Duluth, and from Superior, Proctor, Esko, and Hermantown, have attended Montessori School of Duluth. Children age 5 and over, living in the Duluth school district, qualify for district bus transportation.
The building was recently remodeled in 2009 and 2011. It has spacious
classrooms and playrooms, and features a wing that was specially designed for small children, including in-floor radiant heat. Children enjoy rooms with many low
windows for viewing the outside, direct access to the
outdoors, and child-height sinks. Daily programs are greatly aided by
bathrooms built for small children, two kitchen areas, a well-stocked
library, and two additional homelike childcare spaces.
Our school environment provides security, warmth, and opportunity for creative play, friendship, and recreation.
Successful Students
Reports received from parents and teachers throughout our 30+ years are that our graduates excel in junior high and enjoy the new challenges in senior high. Four of our alumns have been recognized by the National Merit Scholarship as Finalists, and eleven are National Merit Semifinalists or Commended Scholars.
Our graduates have attended more than fifty colleges and various prestigious graduate schools. They often travel and live abroad. Many have families now and build their careers in business, science areas, education, journalism, human services, and the arts. They often maintain friendships started at Montessori School of Duluth!
