You can read a summary of the article at &lt;a href="http://www.montessori-science.org/montessori_science_journal.htm"&gt;Montessori-Science.org&lt;/a&gt;.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The findings are all positive enough, especially the social ones. I don't think the finding that 12-year-old Montessori students are not significantly different in math and reading (writing content, creativity, and sentence complexity are all significantly superior) than non-Montessori students holds true at all.  Other research showed 18-year-olds (who had Montessori until 12 years) were higher in reading and  significantly superior in math. The experimental group (and control groups) in both studies were from the tough low income neighborhoods in Milwaukee and date from the earliest years of the school when there were no older students to be role models. Our graduates are most frequently one or two years ahead of their public school counterparts in Duluth, and most often enter accelerated math clases in middle school.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The magazine where we first heard about this article has other interesting articles as well.
